Crash after a good feeling
« on: February 05, 2006, 03:41:03 PM »

Hi
After 45 days, using the laste 2.1.0 aMule release
the amule is crashing
this went after teh amule was connected, and my ISP cut the adsl connection for few hours.
After this the amule start, try to connect and I suppose when it get a valid server, crash.
I tried to remove the Temp files, same things.
So I give you the backtrace, and I will try to debug this trouble.
I don't make any installation of software could impact the amule one.
I will try to remove some system files (or config files)
If it doesn't work, I'll try to buil the rpm based cvs release.

I have ANOTHER IMPORTANT THINGS to speak about, I'm not a Linux Torvarld's expert, but I'm an IT worker, and I use Linux since 3 years. I begin to control this really wellmadet systems. I use amule since 1 year. I have some trouble concerning the low ID when my iptable FW was not correctly set. But sinc december, I have low ID many times (about 50 %) and high ID the rest. And the download is "as before" so quite fast.
I thinks it was due to busy  server  but when the low ID appears I can choose any server the Mule said all the time "low Id"
I saw in a french forum on open files it's necessary to open the udp 65535, when I did, the amule change and was high ID immediatly (and kad works)
But since I did it the aMule give me from time to time low id and the rest high ID.
Is it strange not ?
Thanks for all
See the Crash BackTrace.

This is likely due to a certain bug with servers. Try removing the file ~/.aMule/servers.met.
If this fixes the problem, you can workaround the bug (till 2.1.1 is released) by disabling removal of dead servers.
