what exactly is amule
« on: January 15, 2004, 01:39:33 PM »

Hi people,
I want to change my box from running win to linux, but there is one problem: I think emule is a very good tool and do not want to miss it.
But amule says "another EMULE-client"; so is amule just adopted from (lets say) the latest emule-sources or is it an complete rewrite?
-what I mean is: if I change to linux and amule, can servers and other clients see the difference or not?
and if amule is an adopted emule how actual is amule? ( emule is now .30e, from which version was amule 1.2.5 adopted?)

-thanks a lot in advance,
