[amulecmd] SetIpFilter on doesn't apply
« on: December 01, 2005, 04:29:37 PM »

SetIPFilter on doesn't do anything, even though the option in the settings dialog becomes checked/unchecked.
The filter is enabled/disable only when I click the OK button of that dialog.

I'm using Gentoo Linux and I think it worked on previous versions.

Thanks for aMule :)

ahh ok

but thats acually "normal" behavior, checkboxes and inputboxes only get changed when you hit the ok-button,
only buttons like "reload ipfilter" for example get executed right away.

the way it works in amulecmd is different, here every command should get executed right away after you hit return.

Yes, but that's not what's happening to me, unless I'm doing something wrong, of cource. However, I'm not doing much:

aMulecmd$ SetIPFilter on
 > Operation was successful.
 > IPFilter is ON.
 > Current IPFilter Level is 127.

But nothing happens with the downloads. Only when I go to the preferences dialog and hit 'Ok' the filter turns on.

I don't really know if I was supposed to do more than 'SetIPFilter on', like customizing IPFilter level and other stuff.

Thanks for your attencion,

I'm having this same behaviour in aMule 2.1.0.I'm setting the ipfilter level on amulecmd to 50 (via "set ipfilter level 50") and it confirms the new level in amulecmd but not on amule, when I go to Preferences -> Security the inputbox stays at the previous value (of 127).A "get ipfilter" on amulecmd tells me that the level is 50 but that isn't shown in amule.
I don't remember very well but I believe that in the previous version that changed immediately.
Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks
