amule doesnt start
« on: April 19, 2004, 09:17:34 AM »

Hi, i just installed amule and all packages i need for it, but when i start i get:

amule: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

locate libssl gets this:
/usr/lib/libssl.so.0
/usr/lib/libssl.so.0.9.7

What am i missing? Would be nice if someone could help me (notfalls auch auf Deutsch ;)

I just installed openssl .9.7d but it didnt help.

me's got the same Problem, after upgrading/installing the new rc2-2

I get the same error or this:

/usr/local/bin/amule/ file or directory not found

[Edit]
It seems, that the rpm install of amule rc2-2 doesn't work fine.
And he tells me that rc2-1 is newer than rc2-2.

how does a normal user know, that the command is
rpm -e Packagename and not
rpm -e Filename ;-)

Now it works, guess there was no SUSE9.0 rpm on the page ;-)

Aha, thx. The Suse-rpm works, but the first thing i downlaoded was calles something like Suse-RH.rpm and it didnt work on Suse. Maybe thats a little misleading, or maybe i just did something wrong.

Important thing is, its up and running (and crashing all the time, but ill take care of that later)

Well, it's rc2, not v2 final, crashes are allowed in "Rlease Candidates" ;-)
So thanx for suffering those crashes but remaining with them instead of going to the last stable version. If you keep up reporting the bugs you encounter and the backtraces of the crashes you suffer, you can be sure v2 will be mostly free of them, hehe,

Greetings
