Is it a bug, or is it a feature? Get me right, I have no ego invested in the present functionality. But before I go in and change the code somebody else wrote, I'd like to better understand why it was designed the way it is. Did the original author(s) of the stat window want a simple smoothing functionality, and were just not familiar with digital filters? Or did they think it was useful to have the graph show the exact average of the last x minutes? I have a background in measurement and control engineering, and I could argue either position, even if, both as a user and programmer, I personally prefer a low-pass filter over a window averaging algorithm ... In an open-source project with the usual dearth of documentation such a question requires some investigative skills ;-)
