Can´t edit the wiki because there´s no CAPTCHA
« on: January 17, 2007, 08:04:41 PM »

Well, this question is about the wiki, not the forum:
I just wanted to update the wiki but I didn´t see the CAPTCHA (no picture, only the text: "The CAPTCHA image"). So I couldn´t save my changes. Have a look at my screenshot.

Am I too dumb? Do I have to change the preferences of my wiki account? Are there problems with my browser (Firefox/Iceweasel 2.0.0.1)?

This is the text that I wanted to save under http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php?title=IPFilter&action=edit§ion=6

Code: [Select]
=== IP Filter sites - Insert the lists from there manually or with a script===

The [http://test.blocklist.org lists] from [http://phoenixlabs.org Phoenixlabs] (formerly known as Methlabs, known for their product PeerGuardian) are still under development. They use those from [http://bluetack.co.uk Bluetack] instead.

http://bluetack.co.uk/config/sources.txt (If you follow this link then download the lists as *.gz or *.zip instead of *.txt in order to save Bluetack´s bandwith!)

Works for me.  Maybe you could try again.  The service from which we get our captchas may have been down when you tried.

Thanx for the answer, ken.
I just tried Epiphany 2.14.3 (GNOME Web Browser) and there the CAPTCHA was displayed!
But in Iceweasel (the Debian Firefox) it´s still not there.  And if i remember correctly i already had this problem some months ago (with firefox 1.5) but just ignored it that time.
Isn´t it strange that it doesn´t work with firefox here? I can´t imagine that i´m the only one using firefox (on Debian). And I checked my firefox preferences - pics from image.captchas.net are NOT blocked.
So the problem still exists but at least I have a workaround.
