Another lowID
« on: January 22, 2011, 11:06:07 PM »

Hi there,

I am mainly a windows user, I have a router from netcomm and am connected to internet via an australian adsl provider named TPG.

When I connect via ubuntu I get an high ID with no problem (upnp is enabled), when I use either of my 3 windows pcs (2 XP, 1 Seven) I cannot get an high ID. on Amule the option for turning on upnp is greyed out.

Any idea?

Thanks,
F.

Oh... I disabled all the firewalls: comodo and the windows firewall, but it does not make a difference.

Specify a port and forward it in your router manually!

Check if you have the same IP in ubuntu and windows and whether there is any difference in the two configurations.
If it is working in ubuntu and doesn't in windows it most likely is a configuration problem.

In Ubuntu he is using UPnP which isn't available for Windows. That's why Myth correctly suggested forwarding the ports manually.
