CServerSocket: destroying socket 0x853a5c8
« on: April 13, 2005, 01:41:43 AM »

Hi, I've compiled the last cvs version. I want to run the amule daemon and the webserver, all without the x-server. I had no problem about compiling, but the daemon doesn't connect to any server. The output is something like this...

*** Server UDP socket (TCP+3) at 0.0.0.0:4665

CServerSocket: connection refused or timed out
CServerSocket: destroying socket 0x8526f88
CServerSocket: connection refused or timed out
CServerSocket: destroying socket 0x8537d60
....

In the server register option, in the web interface, it tells "conexion time out". I've got a router, with open ports. I have emule windows version, and I had high id so I don't think the router could be the problem. Sorry for my english, how you understand almost all ;)

since you have a router, I think you forwared the Emule ports to your windows box, right? otherwise you should have not highID,

with teh linux box, you still have the same ports setup, and if the linux computer has a different IP address tehn the windows computer, you are firewalled and get a lowid....
and sometimes when the server are full, there is atleast no space fot the lowID users

so recheck that you have eiterh the SAME ip address unter linux now, then you had under windows, or change teh ports in AMUlE and reconfigure your router for the new linux ip

Thanks for your reply, Stefanero, but the router is already configured with the ports mapped to the linux machine and also iptables is disable. I don't think that could be the error, but I'll keep trying

With the new cvs deb package now it's working, but it seems the problem was the server.met file. Anyway, when I run amuled I get the next error message...

All PartFiles Loaded.
ListenSocket: Ok.

*** TCP socket (ECServer) listening on 0.0.0.0:4712
*** Server UDP socket (TCP+3) at 0.0.0.0:4665

*** Client UDP socket (extended eMule) at 0.0.0.0:4672
Empty dir /mnt/Media/Incoming/ shared
ERROR: aMuleweb not started

Altough, the amuleweb server is running...

maybe you had it running before amuled was started?

did you set in amule.conf
[WebServer]
Password=
PasswordLow=
Port=4000
Enabled=0                <<<<----- this to 1 ?

this will start amuleweb right after amuled is started, but if there was an amuleweb instance already runnning this could cause problems.

It's something very weird, because I got this error message but at the same time I got no problem with the webserver. I don't know but actually it works fine. Thanks all for your replies

Error message is false. If you succeeded to connect to amuleweb with your browser, just ignore it. I will fix it later.
