Title: Variable Bandwidht limits with the time of the day
Post by: PunkSC on June 22, 2006, 02:59:19 AM
The problem: I have a bandwidth of 80kb/sec download and 24kb/sec upload. My amule runs 24/7 on a dedicated linux box. During noon to midnight my network have about 90% of usage. So, i cant let emule upload 20kb/sec during this time, and take a lot of work to change the upload speed twice a day, so, i let the upload almost everytime in 10 kb/sec.  The download limit of 80kb/sec become a problem sometimes too, so i need to esporadically close emule during this time of day.
The solution: Would be very nice to see an option where i can say "during noon to midnight upload 10 kb/sec and download 40kb/sec. During midnight to noon upload 20 kb/sec and download 80kb/sec. Good for me, good for the network.
I think a lot of guys have this kind of situation, and would take advantage of such option.
