Hi,
1 - i'm new in this forum and i come to this forum because i would like to have a new feature in the amule. I would like that amule would have the possibility to listen mp3 files from a remote point. Instead of having to download the file, i would like to hear it.
It would be so cool to ear the music, instead of have to download it.
This option, could extend to the video files.
2 - Since, i'm new in this, i also would like to contribute aMule with this idea. But now, i see a black future ahead of me, because i don't have time to develop this new feature. So, this problem, remind me to ask a few questions?
- aMule is developed by any company? By a team?
- If aMule is built by volunteers (code lovers that work in some other places to make money for food), how amule developers have time to build amule?
- How can i understand how aMule is built? Is there any uml diagrams to understand? Should i read something?
Sincerily,
Pedro Sá da Costa

for 1: how about you use a webradio? I dont think turing aMule into a radio might be what a p2p should do
for 2:
-- developed by a team, you can see the team by using the forum and click on the team button
-- all volunteers, we like to code and the time on aMule is our free time, the servers get paid by donations from users with paypal
-- download hte source code and build it yourself, also look at the code that should give you some idears, atm there is no UML or whatever diagram

The main goal for question is, sometime i want to hear music from Chopin and a specific piece. Unfortunely, i can't find a place that is playing this music in the moment. Adding this feature to aMule, is to take advantage of searching the files, and instead of download it, i just play it.
But, if this idea is not directed to aMule, it worth trying.
Thanks

Listen mp3 or playing viedoes with this infrastructure is quite impossible. Noone can assure, that you get the file-pieces in the right order, and when they are needed.
-
also you never know when the other peer all of the sudden shuts his pc down or has a 24h disconnect

If "playing the music instead of downloading" means only that it is not saved to disk, I can't see any reason behind it.
