Hi, I'm looking for some help. MAC user. Cable Modem connection. ISP says they don't block ports and I have no router or other equipment between C/M and G5.
I've loaded Servers as per instructions, but my connections last only seconds and I get LowID errors everytime. I've change port numbers in the aMule Preferences and seemingly out of options...
Any suggestions?
Big Thanks!!

Firewall?
-
No firewall, well none that I'm aware of. Called Comcast and they said they don't or aren't blocking any ports either.

Start aMule and then visit http://www.amule.org/testport.php and enter your aMule TCP port. What are the test results?
-
Error: TCP port 4662 is unavailable. Make sure your firewall or router is allowing/forwarding this TCP service port and your ED2K client is running (i.e. aMule, eMule).
Detailed Error Message
TCP Error 110 Connection refused
Explanation
The connection timed out, meaning the port is being blocked or incorrectly forwarded by a firewall or your computer is turned off :)
grrrrrrr ;(

Was aMule running?
-
yes.

Must be a firewall somewhere then.

Mac OS 10 has a built-in firewall as well, please check whether it's enabled.
