Post by: The Dot on June 27, 2006, 04:23:43 AM
When i try to download a file larger than 4 gb amule says that file size is invalid... Why is that??? Is there a workaround or a fix? When will you release a version that supports 4gb+ files???

Please be patient. This feature is currently being worked on and will be in aMule 2.2.

If you don't dare to use the potential harmful and unstable development version you can already use this new feature. But you'll probably have to compile it by yourself, unless someone else builds a win-executable.

Unfortunately I don't have the knowledge needed to compile anything and although I know it's easy I don't have the time to read about it so I'll stick with patience...

Can anyone tell me if he knows when amule 2.2 will be released? If you don't know that please tell me which is the latest beta and when it was released. That will give me some info on when it will be released. Thanx in advance!

There are no betas, but daily development versions.

Could you please contact someone who builds a windows version (e.g. Aethereal (http://forum.amule.org/profile.php?userid=5428&sid=) according to the compilation problems forum) and ask whether he/she would publish his/her build?
