Title: No servers to connect to (amuled + remote gui)
Post by: tom on July 18, 2006, 09:14:43 AM
Hi,

I compiled and installed amuled with

./configure --enable-amulecmd --enable-webserver --disable-monolithic --enable-amule-daemon

make

checkinstall

(Debian Sid) and everything seemed to be fine, but when I start amuled and connect via remote gui, there are no servers to connect to.

When clicking the 'download serverlist' (from maurice) nothing happens.
I copied a server.met to .aMule and restarted amuled, but there still are no servers in the remote gui.

Couldn´t find any hints on google and in this forum, that´s why I posted myself.

Thanks in advance,
Tom

Close amule, then copy the server.met in .aMule, then start aMule. IN THAT ORDER.

Thanks Kry,

I think I did it in that order, but I´m not really sure.
Will try it again.

Chances are you copied, then restarted as your post says. That won't work.

Hi Kry,

seems that I really copied the server.met and then restarted amuled.

I tried it again now the way you described - stopping amuled, copying the file, starting amuled again - and now it worked.

I was worrying that there went something wrong during compiling, cause at my first tries I copied a valid URL to the relevant field replacing the not working one from ocbmaurice, and even this didn´t work.

But now everything runs fine.

Big thank you,
Tom
