Title: Downloads stall right before finishing
Post by: Horus on August 08, 2006, 01:07:36 PM
Hello,
the last few days I've noticed a weird behavior. A lot of downloads stall right before they are finished.
An example:
Yesterday I was waiting for a about 600 MB download to finish. Estimated time was about 10 minutes @ 7 KB/s. Suddenly the download was running slower and slower untill it stopped completely with only 500 KB left. Then I shut down aMule.
Today for the same download I have sources and I'm connected sometimes but the speed is always 0.0 KB/s. And that is not the only download where I've noticed this behavior.
Right now I have 5 downloads with more that 95% completed and none of them is active.
Is this just coincidence or something else....?

Thanks,

Florian

you shouldn't close aMule, or fixate yourself at the ETA, in stead, you should be patient and understand that P2P means that you depend on other sources, so you can't have a steady rate all the time, and when the end is near, fewer sources are used (so, rate will decrease)
