Title: SOLVED - amuleweb: Could not create socket :4711
Post by: iprecious on October 28, 2006, 12:17:53 PM
Hi everyone

a couple of weeks ago I set up a Suse 10.1-Server with the wish to run amule.

Since the server lies in the basement without a screen or input device I need to get the amuleweb running.

Exactly that's the point where my problem is:

I can run the amule-Daemon but when trying to start the amuleweb I receive the following error-message:

WSThread: could not create socket on :4711

I'd like to start solving this problem onmy own, but I have clearly no idea what this message means, i.e. I can't look for a solution.

I do hope that someone experiemced this kind of problem some time ago and can at least explain to me what this message means.

 Regards

joh

This means that another service already running on port 4711. Choose another port or stop that service. It may happen that another instance of amuleweb is running already. Stop it.
