Post by: MaTu|AS on March 01, 2004, 02:10:31 AM
I'm becoming desperade, amule is always dreating dump files!?
I cannot compile, and i don't have the minimal clue of whats happening!

I'm trying to install, aMule 1.2.6, and it creates dumps of 500Mb
FreeBSD 5.2.1
gcc version 3.3.3 [FreeBSD] 20031106
wxgtk-common 2.4.2
wxgtk2 2.4.2_1

Configure script has finished system check.

  Configured aMule 1.2.6 for `i386-unknown-freebsd5.2.1'.

Should aMule be compiled in debug mode?                  no
Should aMule be compiled with release grp code?          no
Should aMule be compiled without debug reporting?        no
Should aMule be compiled with profiling?                 no
Should aMule be compiled with optimizations?             yes
Should aMule be compiled with systray?                   yes
Should aMule be compiled with safe systray?              no
Should aMule be compiled with pure GTK code?             yes
Should aMule be compiled without bar drawing?            no
Should aMule be linked against patched gsocket?          yes
  Should amulecmd be built?                                yes
Should amulecmd (TextClient) be linked against wxbase?   yes

  Which libraries should aMule use?
                                       wxWindows          2.4.2

FreeBSD 5.2 make is not working with amule. Try it again using GNU make from the ports. This worked on my machine.

Thanks guys, i've tried freebsd port, but it was always offline!!
What i did was simple i got the port, then because it wouldn't got amule.tar.gz, i manually get it, change md5 and size of pgk descr, then did the make, he installed the patch and all went sort of well, because i've seen a lot of warnings

Thanks Amule is now downloading
