Title: Clipboard Problem
Post by: MasterKGB on February 28, 2007, 08:57:26 AM
sorry hope to be right here with the Problem

System Gentoo 2.6.20 with the xfce4.4 Desktop
Using AMuleCVS 22.02.07 (but had the same problem before)

Since I canged to xfce (before kde) I couldn't copy any links to the clipboard (clipman) from amule
(I got to share and right klick on copy to clipboard but it stay empty)

Is the a flag or something else I have to use during the compile?

which apps are you trying to paste to? I've tried aMule under windowMaker, enlightenment, KDE and GNOME and this does not happen, I always can copy/paste from/to aMule succesfully. Have you tried just pressing the middle mouse button? that is a shortcut to paste (just highlight to copy, and middle-click to paste). It works for me, and no, no compilation flag (that I'm aware of) can produce the behavior you describe.

Regards.

Linux has two clipboards, you know.

Hi Kry

I don't know which other clipboard you speak ?

All that I know, is that I can copy from any other apps without problems.
In amule I can copy, for exemple, what is in the log and server tabs, but copy an ED2K link by right clicks on a file don't work.

The “clipman” whose MasterKGB speaks, is a plugin that we can add on the Xfce4 panels which keeps a history of what is copied in the clipboard,  but since the copy of an ED2K link doesn't work, nothing appears in the “clipman plugin”.

Thanks

Clipboard one: Select a text and insert using a middle click.
Clipboard two: Ctrl+X/C - Ctrl+V

Select a text and insert using a middle click.

I have an old mouse with only two buttons and no wheel, but I can emulate the middle click by clicking the left and the right mouse buttons at the same time.  :)

*bump*

1) If you just select some text -> copy to "middle-click clipboard" (or whatever it's called)
2) You do ctrl+c or right-click-copy -> copy to normal clipboard, so that ctrl+v or the paste option works.
