Title: make aMule remember the field "url to a nodes.dat file"
Post by: FreeToGo on April 23, 2007, 08:44:00 PM
http://download.overnet2000.de/nodes.dat is not working. I have to key in "http://emule-inside.net/nodes.dat". However, amule cannot remember what I have keyed in after restart. Can we make amule remember?

you should not need a nodes.dat web link more than once. Even more, I have never used it (AFAIK), since the very first time I run aMule (it has no nodes.dat file) I usually just start aMule, connect to ed2k, start downloading some file, and once some sources have been acquired via ed2k, I can start kad with no problem. Then, it just starts geting more and more kad peers, and then when I close aMule, it saves the nodes.dat file, so it's ready to be used the next time I start aMule.

Regards.

I agree with FreeToGo, aMule should remember the last URL used.
