Title: alcc: show progress of hashing

Because on my Pentium II hashing a 3,6 GB file takes some minutes and it would be nice to see the progress (percentage). Thanks

Well, hashing is very fast for me but even that will actually take and increase the load average and use resource more then if not added. But should be nice feature.

PS: People still have p2 systems? What is 3.6gb some DVD image?

Hi Arichy,

this has been requested (IIRC in the bug tracker) and will probably be taken care of as soon as someone has time. I might give it a try, but first I have to learn more about multi-threaded programming.
