Post by: dev on June 09, 2007, 04:57:32 AM
Good thing woud bee something like upload speed sense and message notification via on screen message or sound.
I coudn`t find info about those two things if it`s already talke`d about than ..... thaks
i use emule amule to talk with friends, and it`s good to have some kind of info, not to look on amule evry 1 minute, to see if someone wrote something to me.

There's something similar to uss already implemented, called UBT (upload bandwidth throttler, roughly compareable to NAFC in some emule mods).

I'm not sure about message notification (*mule is no chat client), but take a look at the events preferences-page in SVN versions, there should be such an event. Then just execute a script to notify you of a new message.
If not, please fill a feature request at bugs.amule.org and we'll have a look at it.

I didn`t use tray, thanks for info :)

about ubt, it`s turned on automaticly?
let say somone connects to my ftp and start to download some file, ... amule will cut upload bandwidth, to what level?

i`m asking couse i can`t use amule, simply because it dosen`t work correctly for me, on ubuntu i`v got always low id on kad and on fedora "windows are swiming" resazing all the time and closing message window closes amule :) ... i`m wating for new version :)

hope it will come up soon :)

Thanks for support

Yes, UBT is always enabled and should allow full upload speed on FTP.

Kad firewalled shouldn't be a big problem, it will not affect your speed negatively, as you will find the most sources via source exchange from other clients anyway.
