Title: Where are comments stored?
Post by: xxlray on July 20, 2007, 11:42:23 AM
If I comment or rate files where is this inforamtion stored? Is it just stored locally or on the server I'm logged on.
To say it in another way: If I find out I downloaded a corrupt file does it make sense to rate it if I want to delete it?

No, ratings/comments are stored locally (in file amule.conf) and transmitted client->client, i.e. you have to share the file in order to show your comments to others.

So it seems quite senseless to mark a file as "bad" because when I recognize a "bad" file I don't want to download it any further.
Unfortunately I don't know a better solution. Perhaps someone else has an idea.

Actually, rating is also reported to server since some versions ago.
