Title: Integrated nice and ionice

Hello, when installing a new version of Amule in a distribution I always have to do a script to nice it.

Like many people who is using amule as a background program I have to use nice and ionice in order to mmmhh play WoW  ;) without interference.

So, what about a setting in the amule menu to set the nice and ionice value from within the program so we only have to install the rpm ?

And what about other platforms?

And what would be the default value?

Why would aMule change the nice of the process?

The default wouldn't be a problem. There is no default. If this option is deactivated, there is nothing to happen at all. If the user activets it, he has to set the value.

If this option is deactivated, what's the point on "what about a setting in the amule menu to set the nice and ionice value from within the program so we only have to install the rpm". They would ahve to ALSO enable it and ALSO set the value.

Also, aMule's heavy-cpu processes (hashing) al already the lowest possible priority for aMule to set itself.

I thought, "aMule menu" meant the options dialog which imho every user should open while the first run, so setting this would be no problem.
You could ask the same about the Message Filter. Why do we have one, if it's not activated? Because everyone that wants to CAN activate it, and every user that doensn't care has no change.
But in fact I don't see a problem of having aMule and WoW running caused by CPU, this is more a bandwidth problem which can already be affected by the user.

Well, in menu, I meant in preference settings of course. The default, should be under average priority but could also be like now : average.

Amule, especially while finalizing a file just can make you lose a rated arena :)

This preference should be system dependent, every OS has its own priority system.
