Title: Fake servers - how to solve with amule gui
Post by: wild_oscar on September 08, 2007, 02:30:04 AM
I've read on the HOWTO of the wiki that, to keep a safe list of servers, I have to

Go to Preferences -> Servers and disable the "Update serverlist when connecting to a server" and "Update server list when a client connect" options.

But when I disable the "when a client connects", I cannot see any servers on the list in Amule GUI (the method I have to connect to amule).

How can I solve the fake servers problem then while using amule gui?

disable the options, and then add just these servers:

ed2k://|server|62.241.53.16|4242|/
ed2k://|server|62.241.53.2|4242|/
ed2k://|server|62.241.53.17|4242|/
ed2k://|server|62.241.53.4|4242|/
ed2k://|server|62.241.53.15|4242|/

They are the 6 Donkeyservers, the biggest servers.

Regards.
