Title: ed2k URI with crypt option?
Post by: Schuttwegraeumer on November 13, 2007, 08:53:37 AM
Example:

Code: [Select]
ed2k://|file|ichi_trailer_high.mov|9268902|63724538D45A7DD53F331795DAAA487A|/|sources,160.109.73.14:4675:131:4A0E116E230E91AEEFE4C9ACEF6B6F22|/(IP ist not valid, only as example)

How can I use this kind of ed2k link?
Is the exact IP important?
I couldn't  found a wiki article about this link.

Of course the exact IP is important, it's the IP of one source for the file. If you give a wrong IP, then amule will not find the source.

BTW: I just added your link with no problem on amule CVS from November 12th. What's the problem you are having with it?

Regards.

Problem?
I want to know how it works.
If a add such a link, what can i check with the secure hash at the end of the URI?
What is with Clients with dynamic IPs?

ThatÅ› just cryptoptions so it can be used on another amule with support for those links. It allows you to connect to the source client with encryption enabled.

What kind of encryption?
SSL with a cert?

It will connect to the other sources, and download the file normally.
