Ive tried to install amule on 2 different computers with 2 different internet connections (one macbook and one mini mac ppc) all of them fail to load the server list. Ive tried to do it manualy by draggin a server list to the amule folder and didnt help also, for both computers.
How can i get the right server list?? And why does this server thing work properly is it a bug??
ive got no firewalls or what so ever,
thanx in advance, wld realy appreciate your help

google for server.met, then download the file and replace the server.met file on aMule's folder. Then restart aMule.
Regards.
-
up and running now, thanks ;D

I have the same problem. I googled "server.met" as suggested. There was no server.met file already in the aMule folder,
so I simply dragged the downloaded file to the aMule file and restarted aMule. Still no connection.
I've also tried clicking on the "download server list" arrow, but I get the message that it failed to download.
I have used aMule previously with no problems, so although I'm no tech whiz, I'm not a newbie to aMule.
What am I doing wrong, or not doing?
-
Thanks for no help guys.
I partially figured out the problem myself. For any other Mac users with the same problem, the server.met document
goes here: Users>Library>Application Support>aMule. It does not go in the aMule folder in Applications.
So, I now have a server list. But now when I try to run a search I get an ongoing "trying to connect" message.
Not expecting much help from this forum, so I'll just plug away at the problem and report back.

Hello,
I have the same problem as Uncaff. I originally was unable to get a server list, so I replaced the server.met file in the aMule application support folder. This worked to get me a server list, but when I try to connect I just get an ongoing "Trying to Connect" message. I have no idea what steps to take to fix this, so any help would be appreciated. I don't have a firewall enabled on my computer. Thanks.

found the solution????

http://www.gruk.org/server.met
I found 29 servers, now looks be working

Hi cocu83,
Tried your link and got a page of what appear to be servers with a lot
of gobbledygook symbols in between. How did you put this list into
the aMule folder?
-
right-click the link, and "save link as" to save the file.
Regards.
-
Yo skolnik,
Thanks a lot. Feel like a dummy for not trying a right click. However,
installed the slist and voila! aMule's working.
-
Used the server.met provided here and it start connecting. thanks.
