Title: Very low download speed but very fast upload speed, why ?

I read a lot about credit in order to understand why it is so dificult for me to download faster than 5k/s.

For information :
I have a Mac OS X 10.5 distribution
My upload speed is 250k/s from a week but my dowload speed is never higher than 5k/s.
My total upload is 15 Go and my total dowload is 150Mo
I have a high ID.
My connection is very fast (optical fiber).


Does somebody understand why my reception speed is so slow with amule ?

My downloads have less than 5 sources.

I don't understand why ... it is very commun files.

Do you have a solution ?

My downloads have 500-800 sources at least..  :-\

what could be the reason not to have many sources for a file ?

All files I try to dowmload are very commun files. (I could give you an exemple but i am not sure this forum is the right place to give you this kind of link ...)

Do you have any idea ?

I already put 500 et 5000 to these parameters. So it should works ... but not :-(

In fact i tried to download the ubuntu file you show me and it works very fast (200k/s).
It should mean files I try to download are not so commun. But I don't beleave this.
Indeed, 2 weeks ago, I arrived to download these files very fast (100k/s). What change from this time ? I format my hard disk and past from OSX 10.4 to OSX 10.5. From this change (new os and new amule), it don't wants to download fast again.

I hope you stile have an answer, but if not, thanks a lot for your help.
