Title: run a client on my remote server?
Post by: blunted on March 28, 2004, 06:13:52 PM
Can I install a client on my FreeBSD (remote) server to take advantage of it's fat pipe?  I have SSH/Telnet access to it.

My plan is to search for what I want locally, get the file ID hash and give that to the client on my server and let it go.

Possible?  Not?

hey thanks!

follow up:
so I won't use aMule but edonkey for Linux?

in:
ed2k & console

ed2k "ed2k://filename.avi|123453|HASHNuMbEr847463|"
 what is the "123453" part?

Don't mean to be an idiot, but I've only used eMule on a windoze box, locally.

if u copy an ed2k link u'll see that it's the size of that file

well, i dunno if ed2k links r same in edonkey & *mule (after copy it to clipboard)
