Hello i'm new to this forum and i just wanna know how to male my amule work well, i-m using amule in a macbook. I already opened the ports of the firewall for the TCP IP but my kad still says fiewalled and the little arrow on the bottom is yellow. The weird thing is the other arrow (the server arrow) is green. I've been trying to download since i downloaded amule but the speed is way too slow so can someone here help me pleaseeee!! oh and by the way a friend told me something about bootstrapping the kad but i really don't know what that means.
Thank you

Kad uses an UDP connection (TCP port+10). See http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/FAQ_eD2k-Kademlia#Which_ports_do_I_have_to_configure_in_a_firewall_or_router_to_run_aMule.3F for more information about the aMule ports.
About bootstrapping you can read http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Bootstrap although this isn't the problem.

i know it uses UDP and TCP ports, but my problem is that i have a high-id but my kad is allways firewalled, i have read the articles u posted but i didn't understand what to do. If someone could help me pleaseeee! i can't stand my amule downloading at less than 10 kb\s!

Try downloading a new nodes.dat file, and also make sure you do NOT enable "Accept only obfuscated connections" in Preferences.

And never forget that if you think the download speed is too low it can also be your ISP performing some form of traffic shaping on its network. Don't blame aMule too fast......
