Title: Resume pre-existing file
Post by: Tuxie on June 14, 2008, 12:11:00 AM
I have a big file that I have 98,1% of, downloaded with BitTorrent before the last seeder disappeared forever... The file is available on the *mule network so what I want is something similar to the "start download paused, replace download with existing file and run a data integrity check to make it download the blocks that the checksum fails for"-trick common on torrents. I've tried replacing 001.part with the pre-existing file but I can't find a way to make aMule scan its data... Is this possible at all?

Hi,

Start the download in the eD2k network and wait until at least one Chunk completes. (That's a 9.28MB part) Then shut down aMule, replace the xxx.part file with your file and aMule should rehash the file and recognize any already existing elements. Please be aware, that the files have to be 100% the same.
