Title: Msn and Internet unstable when using amule

I had MaxConnections=50 on my daemon, which resulted in very low download speeds.  When I changed to the default:

MaxSourcesPerFile=300
MaxConnections=500

I get a very unstable internet connection. MSN or IRC, for example, don't last more than 5 minutes connected...

Can this be due to

a) MaxConnections being at 500

b) Lots of files downloading (speeds over 70 kbps, although my Internet connection far exceeds this value)

Any ideas how to tackle this problem? Simply choosing a random number between 50 and 500?

There are some ("cheap" home ~, particularly wireless) routers, which won't support more than 200-250 connections and will hang up due to too many connections. Try lowering the maximum number of connections to about 200-250 and see if the problem persists. Your download speed shouldn't affect msn or irc.
