Try using aMule 2.2.1.

rpm.pbone.net does not show a revision configured for Mandriva 2008 higher than 2.1.3.
I have recently had to reinstall everything (operating system and all files) after trying to install other programs that were not specifically attuned to Mandriva 2008, so I don´t want to try that sort of  experiment again.
