We happily announce that aMule-2.2.2 is nearing final stage. Therefore we release a candidate for 2.2.2, please test for last-minute bugs.
You can download it from SourceForge.
Note that this release is based upon 2.2.1, and not SVN. This release contains bugfixes and security updates of 2.2.1.
Translators: please update the translations from this tarball, or follow the instructions in this (http://forum.amule.org/index.php?topic=15520.0) post, since they're different from the ones in the current SVN tree.
Please post everything (bug reports, translation updates, etc) concerning the release candidate in this board section (http://forum.amule.org/index.php?board=78.0), which will be dumped in the pits of hell after the release. We will wrap it in extra-flammable coal-covered paper, and carefully drop it in one of the tunnels that we use to connect daily with Hell, and ask our lord and savior, Satan himself, what can be done for us to be eviler, or in case that's not possible, just more evil. He will caress the forum section, before engulfing it in a neverending flame that will slowly and painfully consume not only the section's body, but also its soul and CSS. All your threads will scream in pain for an eternity, then they'll get better. After a while, everyone will have cake. Rhubarb cake. It's easy to cook a cake in Hell, but it's hell to keep the drinks cold.
If you are reading this, you have way too much free time and not enough cheese.
Refrigerator.

I bet noone notices my ninja edit.

I think that in a near future RIIA 'll point to this messages in order to prove relationship between satan and p2p. :-D
This in one of the best messages/News I have read since I have started lurking in this forum. The next time, first of compiling a p2p application I'll surely summon Satan inside my case.

Thanks!, soon new version!! :D

When I try to enter the forum I get a "The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you.". And you can never have enough cheese.
I just want to ask for a changelog.

yeah same here. where is a current readme, changelog and stuff, it would be useful to know whats been happening on the coding site and features and all this stuff with amule. this would help on to decide what to test, where to look for problems and such.
weird that there is no changelog file in your release packages at all. :/
-
You'll find the Changelog in the SVN tarballs including all changes to 2.2.2.
I've also started to write about important changes (see signature for a link).

thanks for the url to the dev blog. its always good to have some current information on development progress and processes. people dont like to be left out alone in the dark without any information.
thanks again.
