"IPFilterSystem"
say i use moblock to block ips, what does this option tell/do for amule?
can't find any info on this option (in security)
-
If you use an external IP filter you don't need the built-in filter of course and you should disable it. No need to filter twice.
-
sorry that didn't explain why there is a box to enable/disable for system wide blocking? if i use moblock, i know to not use the IPfilter in amule why does an option need to be there? i dont get it...
-
"system-wide" IP filter is called firewall. What are you talking about?
-
sorry if I wasn't clear enough;
...soo basically does enabling it completely disable blocking of any-kind in aMule?

aMule by default uses ~/.aMule/ipfilter.dat for IP filtering. If you enable 'Use system-wide ipfilter.dat if available', it will look for a /usr/share/amule/ipfilter.dat file if loading the local ipfilter.dat fails.
The above paths assume a linux-like system.

Please suggest a better term for this. I tried to think of one, but failed to find one less mistakable.
