It appears that finally happened what has been announced since March: the hirnriss.net server hosting the daily tarballs and our SVN repository is shut down. Our thanks go to Bootstrap who has provided the host for so long.
The repository data is safe of course, and the service will be back up soon (http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Soon). Meanwhile I'm afraid your daily build scripts are going to fail.
Edit: at the moment tarballs are available at http://amule.uw.hu/tarballs/ (http://amule.uw.hu/tarballs/)
Updated: See http://amule.sourceforge.net/tarballs (http://amule.sourceforge.net/tarballs)

Could anyone tell me why svn amule could not be uploaded to sourceforge like those release versions are doing right now?

http://www.vollstreckernet.de/debian/dists/stable/amule/source/amule_2.2.2+SVN20081004.orig.tar.gz
Don't know if it's repacked, but looks fine.
-
Anything we can do to help the tarballs come back sooner?
-
orig.tar.gz is the original source (in this case the last that worked), just gone through bunzip2 -c | gzip -c
-
Just uploaded some locally stored archives to serverboard:

Not really. Right now it basically depends on my free time.
-
Now, does the server shutdown explains why I stopped receiving the e-mails with the commited code? I really enjoyed trying to read the code and understanding the changes deevelopers made into aMule.
Regards.

Yep
-
Any solution?
What about taking a freehoster to upload the tarballs?
...like... http://www.bplaced.net/
-
the hirnriss.net server hosting the daily tarballs and our SVN repository is shut down.
There's no point in using a freehoster when there's nothing to upload. Patience, young padawan.

Yes, my master! ;D
-
Well, as I mentioned in my first post, our repository is offline along with the tarballs, so we are all on (unpaid) vacation. ;D
If anybody has done any work since it has not been comitted, and there's nothing to tarball. But development will continue soon (http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Soon).

Don't tell me that Gonosz...
I do. Everything has been shut down, noone's working, even electricity is out. I'm writing this post by the candle-light ;)
-
You used your own svn/cvs?
Why not using the CVS from SF now?

There has been several posts covering that.

Ok, thank you for all the work.
But it would be very nice to upload a recent TAR temporarly with public access. (RS or whatever)
-
Nothing has changed since the last tarball.
-
Ah, OK.
-
Since SVN is up again, will we start receiving the commits again via e-mail?
Regards.
-
The testers and developers that used to get them will get them again. Please PM your email address to re-add you.

How to PM my email address?

Any news about the tarball server?
Could you post, at least, one recent tarball of amule?
Thanks!
-
Yes. (http://forum.amule.org/index.php?topic=16043.0)
-
Its only one Tar file.
How about daily release like the hirnriss server?
