Title: amulecmd speed change not reflected in amule gui
Post by: costa on December 04, 2008, 11:15:05 AM
I would like to report a bug.  When making changes to amule connection speed i.e upload or down load speed using amulecmd the corresponding changes are not reflected in the preferences windows of amule gui.

You are not supposed to connect several remote clients at the same time. You can do it, but things like settings go out of sync then. Categories are another example (which can even crash the app).

Stu: Is this something which is addressed by lfroen's work on EC?

Wrong. If it doesn't work, it's a bug.

So the remotegui's missing graphs and missing client display in the transfer window are bugs too ?
I define "bug" as "supposed to work, but doesn't" and "missing feature" as "simply not implemented".  ;)

I don't think so.

True multi client capability adds a whole new dimension to EC complexity. Open a file detail dialog in one gui, the remove the download in the other one and see what happens - there are dozens of examples where the behaviour is simply undefined now.

EC was designed with this in mind, from the beginning. If it doesn't work, it IS a bug.

Fixing your special settings issue should not be a big problem.
