Title: Downloaded Files are not in the Download folder (2.2.3) and (2.2.2)
Post by: daviwall on April 03, 2009, 10:34:44 PM
Hey guys, Im new to Amule. I purchased my mac and then started to find a good Peer-to-Peer software.
Amule seems to be fitting very well in my needs.

I wanna congratulate the developers for the great job!!!

Here is the problem that is making me stop using Amule.
Everytime a download is finished it shows in the download list as completed( 100%).
But if I go to the actual download folder the file is not there!  So I try to preview the file clicking on the download and it works.
Go back to download folder, the file is not there. Check Temp folder and the file is there names 001.part.

this is happening to all downloads over 50mb, mainly video files.

Anyone has any idea what could be causing this malfunction ?

tthank you in advance!

That's not exactly "malfunction". More like "misfeature". By default, downloaded files are going into ~/Library/Application Support/aMule/Incoming and not into ~/Downloads.
You can change this in preferences.

Ty for your answer!

Well i've installed versions 2.2.3 and 2.2.2 and both created a folder in myuser/documents/Amule Downloads
where i could find downloads under 50mb. In the folder u refered there is only one subfolder called TEMP.

Even if I change the folder, still the files do no show in there after completed.

ty again.

Does your log show any error when finishing the download (> 50MB) ?
