hi
my amule was very normal, buy since yesterday the list of uploads dont raise more than 5 uploads at the same time....
before it 100 uploads was the avarage...
and the clients on queue raise more and more
my configuration in the "preferences" -> "Connection" is this:
Bandwith Limits :
Download - 256kbps
Upload - 128kbps
Slot Allocation - 30kbps
Max Sources per file:
Hard Limit - 3000
Connections Limits:
Max connections - 300
Is there something wrong?????
thats it :/
tkz since now
-
30Kb/slot * 5 slots = 150 Kb/s
your upload is 128Kb/s
Go figure.
-
tkz a lot =]]]]]]
-
You're welcome ;)
-
kry, it still the same
now its like this:
Bandwith Limits :
Download - 256kbps
Upload - 128kbps
Slot Allocation - 25kbps
Max Sources per file:
Hard Limit - 3000
Connections Limits:
Max connections - 300
Now, Max Sorces per file its right??????? and the max connections?????????? how it could be the best performance??????
sorry about this nb questions, but im not getting this yet....
-
25Kb/slot * 5 slots = 125Kb
SO you still are on your 128Kb limit.
Ok, let me explain. If you ahve uplaod 128, and set slot alloc. to 25, each uploading clients gets 25. So there can be 128/25 ~ 5 clients
Got it now?
-
yeh, i know that, thats why i let it 2(64 clients)
now the queue problem in my upload ends, but my download still slow
and about this
Max Sources per file:
Hard Limit - 3000
Connections Limits:
Max connections - 300
what set its the best performance????
-
There is something i dont understand:
100 clients downloading from you at the same time ???
2 kb? isnt that 0.25 kB for each? Does amule even accept values so low?
Why so little? Not only you spend a lot more on overhead with so many clients but uploading a part (9.28MB) will take forever, and a bump in the connection will terminate it.
Unless its kB we are talking about, in which case, can i have your conection? :)

No, read:
Press "Preferences" button, than press into "preferences" the button "conection"
Thats here the problem now....
my configuration is this:
Bandwith Limits :
Download - 256kbps
Upload - 128kbps
Slot Allocation - 1kbps
Max Sources per file:
Hard Limit - 3000
Connections Limits:
Max connections - 300
-----
Now, what i dont know is if "Max Sources per file: Hard Limit - 3000" and the "Connections Limits: Max connections - 300" are set right....
the numbers 3000 and 300 are right ??? thats what i need to know....
my upload rate is 20kbps and the download is 2kbps.....
i just dont get it...
-
Ok, i dont use 1.28, so im not sure, but please check the unit used, is it kb (kbits) or kB (kBytes) on amule?
The diference is important since 1 (B) byte = 8 (b) bits, so your limits should be download=32/upload=16 (256/8 - 126/8).
100 clients is an abnormal behavior with most connections, so i guess you have your values wrong.
EDIT: also, dont put your upload limit equal to your upload capacity (consider 14, not 16, in ADSL), or you will choke your connection, put it 2kB lower, at 12 kB max.

hmmm

Hi, sorry my english but I only speak spanish....
mmhh...
If you have:
a.- 1024kilobitsUP/2560kilobitsDOWN = MAX UP 128KB/s, MAX DOWN 320KB/s
b.- 1024kilobitsUP/2048kilobitsDOWN = MAX UP 128KB/s, MAX DOWN 256KB/s
I think that you have:
c.- 128kilobitsUP/256kilobitsDOWN = MAX UP 16KB/s, MAX DOWN 27KB/s
now, what connection you have?
Waiting for you response.
for a configuration:
Line capacities:
Download: 320
Upload : 128
Slot allocation : 22
Bandwhitch limit:
Download : 300
Upload : 110
Max Sources per File : 512
Max Conections : 1024
for b configuration:
Line capacities:
Download: 256
Upload : 128
Slot allocation : 20
Bandwhitch limit:
Download : 220
Upload : 100
Max Sources per File : 512
Max Conections : 1024
for c configuration:
Line capacities:
Download: 27
Upload : 12
Bandwhitch limit:
Download : 20
Upload : 10
slot allocation : 3
Max Sources per File : 512
Max Conections : 640
In max conections try between 640 and 1024, I recomend 768...

aMule 1.2.8 is not that old, but is indeed OUTDATED. so please upgrade to some v2.0.0 version (on sunday, v2.0.0-rc6), please. v1.2.x is not under development any more.
Greetings!
