Title: Segmentation fault when running amuleweb
Post by: xLeitix on November 24, 2004, 05:16:22 PM
Well, the header already says it: when I am trying to run the aMule Webserver, I get a message that he has successfully connected, but afterwards the program stops with a Segmentation fault.
What can be the problem?

Are you running a unicode build of amuleweb?

I suppose so.
At least amule --version says "aMule 2.0.0rc7 using wxGTK2 v2.5.3 (Unicoded)"

This is a known issue. Webserver didn't work with unicode in rc7, but has been fixed about 2-3 days ago. (Still it's not fully OK with unicode, but at least it works.)

So, the choices for you:
1) recompile (at least the webserver) in non-unicode (you'll need a wxWidgets installation that is not compiled with unicode)
2) get a non-unicode precompiled binary
3) wait for rc8

Have fun with aMule!

I've installed rc8, but still getting segmentation fault. Still problem with unicode version?
