Title: Upload speed doesn't stabilize
Post by: master_h on November 27, 2004, 02:22:55 AM
Hi!
I've been using aMule for some time and never had any problems with it until now. A week ago aMule RC7 suddenly began having non-constant upload speeds and I immediately noticed that my download rate was affected by such strange behaviour. I must say that my linux firewall has always been disabled and my router configuration wasn't changed.

Can anyone give me a hint on how to fix this?

Thanks in advance

I'd say it's your ISP playing with you or something in your networks config. aMule can break upload statbility for one session, but id almost decfinitly won't jsut suddenly break it'self for any further session you start ;)

I'd suggest you to change the ports you are using (something different to 4662, etc)

Greetings!

it must be the graphs that are broken then.
the upload is pretty constant (you can easily check this by using an external meter app).
The statistics code has to be rewritten someday (not a priority though) so don't expect this to change now, since changing any code in statistics would be nonsene because it will be rewritten in not much time :-/

But wnyway, that's for the notice ;)

Greetings!

thnaks for the answer,

the upload speed located in bottom of amule near the server name corresponds to the graph.

tonight, the upload is more stable :)
2 hours at 8 ko/s - a straight line
I try 10 ko/s to see...
