Title: No more than 1300 connections?
Post by: djtm on November 29, 2004, 04:48:02 PM
Hi,

my aMule is running for 4+ days straight now and it got pretty fast up to 1200 and then creeping to 1300 connections, with only a couple files, but now it doesn't get higher...  :D

Is that an fixed limitation...? I was hoping to find out how much my router and server can handle...  ;)

Just wondering!

oh - ps.: you guys rule...  8)

You forgot your "Now, if it only had a good webserver..." :P

About connections: Looks more like a CPU/OS/Router limit ;) There's no limitation on aMule itself, except the obvious Hard Limit and Max sources limits.

Yes, I was really considering a webserver remark. But I thought: "Nope, I can't bring that one again - better not enrage them - I'm too young to die..."
...I'm especially afraid of the one with the skull-image...
*/
But anyway:

Good to know. It shouldn't be the OS, cuz it's linux - the router and the server. (Router: Linksys WRT54G with 2.4.20; Server: Duron 750 with 2.6.9-cko3).

I'll upload some more graphs... ;)
And try to change a couple more settings.

Now if it just had a good webserver...
