Title: Amule web server killed
Post by: Cklein on December 05, 2004, 01:27:16 AM
Every time I try to connect to the amule web server it let me enter the password but after that it gets killed. Why is that? There is no special message on the amule terminal or the web server terminal. Nothing! Should I downgrade to rc5. Is anyone using the web server.

looks like there is some bug in rc7 with webserver. it's fxed in current CVS though, AFAIK. so either get cvs or wait for rc8 (or dowgrade to rc6 is if you really need it :-/) btw, if you're on debian, there's a repository mantained by Vollstracker [talk to him at #amule in irc.freenode.net ] with nightly builds of aMule.

Greetings!

Thank you "gracias" jacobo but there's the same problem on rc6 (just tried it) even if I read on this forum there was not problem on that release. I really need the webserver...
Well, I'm on gentoo not debian, is there any cvs tar made every day or something like that? How can I try to get where the problem is? I really would like to see the webserver working so if I can help to debug/test/whatever I will pleased to do it

You can download the daily CVS tarballs from http://amule.hirnriss.net/

must be a gentoo ebuild bug :-(
I suggest you to compile yourslef aMule and aMuleWeb. since you are on gentoo, I can guess you already know quite about compiling. anyway, check http://wiki.amule.org for help on compiling aMule from scratch :)

Hope this works. post here if it doesn't, please.

Greetings!
