Title: new pt_PT maintainer
Post by: gaspojo on January 30, 2005, 07:22:39 AM
Hello, it's my first post around. I noticed the Portuguese translation was too old, so I'm stepping up as the new translator for pt_PT. How much time do I have until the final 2.0 release? It's about half translated by now (cvs).

Thank you
Helder

Title: pt_PT finished! ;)
Post by: gaspojo on February 03, 2005, 05:50:08 AM
I've just finished the pt_PT translation against the last template available. However, I noticed some missing expressions. When will we have an updated template? Also, I noticed I couldn't use characters with accents to translate the expression "Up: %.1f | Down: %.1f" in amuleDlg.cpp  (it appears in the systray tooltip), additionaly to SysTray.cpp. I think it is not mentioned anywhere. Well, here is the PO.

For unicode (accents) and update the remplate, visit http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Translations and take it a close read :)
About your translation:
rm -f pt_PT.gmo && /usr/bin/msgfmt -c --statistics -o pt_PT.gmo pt_PT.po
76 translated messages.

;)
Good job! Thankyyyy

Looks like the last line is badly translated. it finishes with "Banido po0" followed by a ^M carrier char (and a DOS new-line). I changed it to "Banido po" before committing, but I'm almost sure it is still bad, so please either tell me what to put there ot resubmit the .po file :)

Well, I'm working with Brazilian Portuguese translation. There's some strings to update from RC8 ?

I don't understand. This is the end of my translation:

#: src/WebServer.cpp:2154
msgid "Global (Server)"
msgstr "Global (servidor)"

My file is encoded in UTF-8. What's going on?

oki, redownloaded. there are some bugs in your translation (4 exactly). 3 of them are fixed here. now there's one which requires portuguese knowledge, which I lack:

msgid "There is no slot %li in your download queue."
msgstr "Não há um "

What should be the translation instead?

The other three were a lacking %s and two places where %1 was typed instead of %i ;-)

Please tell me what to put after "um ". thanky!

My fault. Here's the translation:
"Não há qualquer entalhe %li na sua fila de entrada."

Ups, sorry about that. msgfmt should have complained about it, though.
Title: Cvs
Post by: gaspojo on February 07, 2005, 01:20:02 AM
BTW, cvs is down for days for me. What's going on? :(

it does ;)
run make pt_PT.gmo and you'll see :)

about cvs, sourceforge's CVS is discontinued. Use hirniss.net 's nightly tarballs instead.
I have some probs in my local computer so I'll be unable to upload the translation today, but tomorrow will be ;)

Sure, but what do you mean by "edit the .po file"?

Post by: Jacobo221 on February 09, 2005, 02:02:14 PM
oh, sorry if I didn't make myselft clear enough.
by "edit the .po file" I meant to ask you to edit (modify) the .po file you posted here to have the correct translation of that line. Then post the file here again.
:)
Title: update
Post by: gaspojo on February 11, 2005, 01:33:50 AM
Here it goes.
Title: Re: new pt_PT maintainer
Post by: Jacobo221 on February 11, 2005, 05:28:09 AM
sh-2.05b$ make pt_PT.gmo
rm -f pt_PT.gmo && /usr/bin/msgfmt -c --statistics -o pt_PT.gmo pt_PT.po
1354 translated messages.

Woeks now :)
Still, there were three errors I had to fix: lines 4066, 4914, 5562. They are fixed here, but fix them on your local file too so that future updates are fixed ;)

THANKS and greets!

Title: Update
Post by: gaspojo on February 13, 2005, 04:29:35 AM
Hope it's final version for 2.0 :)

BTW, I think aMule's system tray icon should be transparent instead of having a white background!
Title: Sorry :(

Title: Lats minute update!
Post by: gaspojo on March 03, 2005, 01:05:19 AM
Here it goes :p

I think we really should change units according to this:
http://physics.nist.gov/cuu/Units/binary.html

i.e., changing kb, MB and GB to KiB, MiB and GiB

There is an error in translation:

msgid "High"
msgstr "Alta identidade"

Should be "Alta". The previous one works for some, but not for others, the file priority the worst one.

Good job otherwise  :)
Title: Thanks!

I'll fix it right away :) Please report any error to me.
