I just apt-get installed amule on my sarge and it crashed, here's "dkpg -l | grep wx" as suggested to another Debian user on another thread:
ii libwxbase2.4 2.4.2.6 wxBase library (runtime) - non-GUI support c
ii libwxgtk2.4 2.4.2.6 wxWindows Cross-platform C++ GUI toolkit (GT
ii libwxgtk2.4-py 2.4.2.6 wxWindows Cross-platform C++ GUI toolkit (wx
Is there something wrong? I tried on another Sarge and it worked... ;( HELP!

jevi,
You need advice from someone with Debian too. The usual cause of problems is a bad wxGTK package, almost all distributions have flawed wxGTK packages. One option is to compile it yourself. Look at the wiki:
http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page
Another thing is rc7 is way too old code. We are almost releasing 2.0.0 final. You should try a cvs tarball:
http://www.hirnriss.net/?area=cvs
And in case you want to report crashes, you want to read this:
http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Backtraces
Any questions, just ask.
Cheers!
