Could you probably also post the 2.0.1 RPM?
-
Yes...I can....going to work it right now.....I am having problems with amuled myself, just dont know if it is a package issue or amule issue.....just trying to understand whats happening.....have you got this problem or you dont use amuled?
Some feedback would be nice.....
Cheers.....
....Here it is....but only for Mandrake 10.1...because my Mandrake 10 box is lately more offline than online....some net link loss of signal.... ?(
I will post them when i can build them..... :baby:

Hey, thanks man!
I had the CPU freezing problem before and will test this one later.
Edit:
Now I get this error when trying to open aMule...
"Fatal Error: Mismatch between the program and library build versions detected.
The library used 2.6 (no debug,ANSI,compiler with C++ ABI 102,wx containers,compatible with 2.4),
and your program used 2.6 (no debug,ANSI,compiler with C++ ABI 1002,wx containers,compatible with 2.4).

hummm....i guess you are using a diferent version of gcc ?(
hey just put the output of the command:
gcc --version
and also
rpm -qa | grep wx
Thankx.....
I will check this .....you did use the 10.1 packages right?
Regards...
-
Yes, I used the 10.1 packages. Funnily your 2.0.0 packages worked just fine, only the 2.0.1 gives this error. And I didn't change GCC meanwhile. Hmmm...
-
I will build another one.... :D
Just stay tune... :]
-
I am totally tuned... :]
(Eating my fingernails while dreaming of aMule)
-
LOL
Hey....rpms are out...just install and enjoy.....
Look at the links above.....
Cheers.. 8)

Sneeeeeeeeeeeef... Still the same error. "ABI 102" and "ABI 1002" do not look really random, more like a typo in something. ;(
[eagle@localhost eagle]$ gcc --version
gcc (GCC) 3.4.1 (Mandrakelinux 10.1 3.4.1-4mdk)
[eagle@localhost eagle]$ rpm -qa | grep wx
wxGTK-devel-2.6.0-1_mdk10
wxGTK-2.6.0-1_mdk10

Of course you are using the wxGTK packages for 10.0 ...that why is raises that error....please install the 10.1 rpms for your system....
P.S:uninstall that ones that u have installed now....
Cheers....
-
Ooops... Sorry... I used them with your 2.0.0 RPMs and didn't notice that you changed them at all... :]
I must be getting old... All works fine now. Obrigada! :baby:
-
hey....no prob....glad to help..... 8)
-
Does this package include amuled? if so, which wxBase should I install?
Regards.
-
AFAIK,wx-base is included in wx tarball since version 2.5.5.....so this 2 rpm packages(wxGTK-2.6.0 and wxGTK-devel-2.6.0)were made from that tarball....so i supose the wx-base you mention are included in that packages....and YES these rpms have amuled....and also wxcas, cas, webserver, amulecmd and last amulegui....
Test it and share your results .....plz.. :baby:
Best Regards....
-
I can't test it, since I use FC3, but the question was for some guy I know, who uses MDK. But anyway, he already has amule running.
Thanks for your effort packaging! ;)
Regards.
-
well....i am not a coder myself but i am glad to hear that my packages worth something to someone.....
Thanks... 8)

I have managed to put the cvs rpms avaliable to anyone who wants to try the bleeding edge of amule...i have rpms for Mandrake 10, 10.1, 10.2 and of course dont forget to install my WX rpms for the version of your system....
As long i can suport the traffic this will do every day there will be a new rpm ...if there isnt then you should blame the evil coders of amule since this is an automated process and if there is any rpm then the compilation process have been unsucessfull....just wait for the next day....
All packages should be ready for download around 10:00 GMT time.
http://linfreak.zapto.org/amule
Enjoy....
Any problems?Just let me know about it.....
Cheers....
-
Will we also see some 2.0.2 RPMs there soon? :]
-
Well....I could post the 2.0.2 rpms....but cvs is more on the edge like new amuled sockets code wich works very nice now, thanks to lfroen for coding this.....this change is not on the 2.0.2 final release....so i recomend the cvs.....but WTF i will post them to all not cvs version users... :P
Stay tune..... :]
Cheers...
-
well....here they are:
http://linfreak.zapto.org/amule
Enjoy.....
P.S:of course this rpms have a cripled amuled....so if u want to use amuled install the cvs rpms, which are very stable....
Cheers.....
-
Thanks a lot, dude! :baby:
-
And now we desperately wait for 2.0.3... :))
-
Building as we speak.... 8)
-
aMule-2.0.3 done... check:
http://linfreak.zapto.org/amule
For install just run as root:
rpm -Uvh .rpm
and use my wx rpms for your Mandrake version from the same link...
As usual report any problems.....
Have a nice aMuling.... :D
Cheers....
-
Hummm...by the silence i imagine there is no problems..... :O
-
I have started to use kad in the compilation of the cvs packages for Mandrake/Mandriva 10.2/2005 so the cvs package 20050727 has kad enabled ....
P.S.:If someone use this, please use only the master gui since EC(external connections)code is broken....amule will crash if amulecmd or webserver is used
http://linfreak.zapto.org/amule
UPDATE:I have extended that offer to the 10 and 10.1 cvs packages...
Happy aMuling.... :P
Cheers..
