Title: Where is the general discussions
Post by: Ayax on May 24, 2005, 11:29:01 PM
Didnt find the general discussions area so i guess this is the right place for things like this :

This time im not agnry , just the opposite im getting always real high speed from source named http://www.amule.org , which i guess is here ...

The first question is simple ; why i get that fast speed from http://www.amule.org ?

The second one is abit more complicated ; is there a way i can always get that speed from http://www.amule.org to all my files in the downloading list at ones or as single ?

Thanks ...

There is no "source" called http://www.amule.org. I believe you are confusing that with the user that's left his/her username at amule default which happens to be http://www.amule.org...

You're probably getting really high speeds from these sources because you have a descent score.

Finally, no. You cannot set your download speeds from a client. You basically get what you get.

Hope this helps.

Im not lying :

Picture deleted, please stick to the forum rules: No copyrighted materials!

And thats always like that , when im getting speed above 20.00kb/s its from source named http://www.amule.org ... Always ......

If its not from http://www.amule.org source , im getting speed 1.00 kb/s to 5.00 kb/s ... and somtimes even 15-20 kb/s (but thats real sometimes) ...

I understand what you're saying. And I'm sorry, IT IS like that. If you see a souce of "www.amule.org", that's nothing more than a username, the source. So if you're getting those speeds only from user http://www.amule.org, then perhaps you're downloading from the same person, which I doubt.

The fact that the source username is http://www.amule.org has nothing to do with why you're get descent speeds.

Most aMule users are on linux and aMule is the only p2p client that actually works. This is probably why you see lots of people are using it.

it works (or let's say it "somehow" works) with wine. but latest version crash terribly with wine too so... i think it is correct to say eMule doesn't work in Linux ;-)

eMule == windows client. I do believe it says so on their website. But I don't really know since I'm not a windows user. I'd rather rip my teeth out one by one than torture myself with windows.
