Is the powershare feature available with amule 2.0.1 and if so, how do I enable it? I've tried adjusting it through the gui like I would with an emule mod with it enabled(and it only gives me priority up to release), I don't know the commands to adjust it through amulecmd and the web interface only gives me up to release as well... I've looked through amule.conf and all the preferences in the gui and still can't find it.
What am I missing? (this is kinda driving me crazy...)
Maybe I just need some sleep :O

well the one share option you can set is release atm in the shared files window
and if you set the other files to low priority this should be like powershare I think....
but I think you cant do this atm from amuleweb or amule-remote-gui, so to set this option you need amule, and this options are not saved in amule.conf file...no need to look there

Thanks for confirmation that I'm not crazy and the option really isn't there.
Unfortunately your suggestion isn't actually good enough for releasing rare files while downloading a few relatively popular ones (after about a day or two of running the client all the low priority people get to the top of the queue regardless and you stop uploading the rare file)..
What I was talking about was the feature described here:-
http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/PowerShare
which was introduced according to the following changelog:-
http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Changelog_1.2.3

changing the file priority to release works..
when u run amule, click on the sharedfiles button, right click on some file and change the prio.
cheers

Ahh.. I'm sorry if this is the case (and looking at the client I set running yesterday it does appear to be......) Obviously emule's idea of release and amule's are different (amule treats release as being powershare)... I've put a comment on the wiki page I linked to in my last post that this should probably be made more clear (at least on the wiki page)....

I've added a note to the wiki-page about that. If you think that it could be clearer, then you are of course welcome to improve upon it. ;)

Nope.. That's great... Probably what I should have done, it being a wiki and all :-)

nice -- i've been wondering for some time why there seems to be such a huge difference in upload behavior between 'very high' and 'release' priority in amule... :)
