Hi.
I use amule 2.0.1 with Debian. All works great, but from few days ago amule is connected to a server (f.e. 'connected established on: Sonny Boy 6), but no files are uploaded/downloaded.
In fact when I pick on the 'traffic' icon, the colors seems to say that no connection are stablished.
I'm under a router, but I don't close/open any ports. Without open any port amule works in the past. I looked on the log but there's no answers in.
Anyone can help me?
Thanks in advice

well first of all those "sunny boy" servers are server from the RIA, so DONT use them!!!
they have fake stats, and spy upon you to find out what you download and share,
try a different server like donkey server nr1.. or razorback 2
do you get a lowID or a highID at THOSE server?!

Thanks in advice.

I think my Id is high. I tried to connect to razorback 2 but it said that I have a low Id. But now I'm connected to DonkeyServer Nº1, and I found the same trouble: nothing is upload/download.
Can I test 'manually' if I am right connected?
Thanks

I did this:
1. upload my sources.list
2. apt-get install amule
Amule version 2.0.1 was installed
3. Connect to Donkey Server nº1
4. Search for some popular file, for example 'madness'
5. That's right! The donwload begins
I don't know why, but it works.

well sometimes it just takes some time, especialy when you just start....
the upload will start if you completed 9,28MB of one file, so dont worry if it does not start right away
if you have any problems maybe read here:

have fun
