Title: MacOS 11.2.3 (big sur) amule unable to access external hdd
Post by: beterhans on March 15, 2021, 03:33:05 PM
every time I move the download folder to external hdd
amule will give a alarm

error accessing directory.
Permission on the temp directory too strict!
amule cannot proceed. to fix this you must set read/write/exec permission for the foler /Volumes/DBMINI_Data/FTP_Share

I already give full disk access to amule on big sur.
amule still unable to access.

Hello,
I am not sure the cause but a WORKAROUND is to
1) Create a symbolic link in internal drive to the external drive folder. See https://www.howtogeek.com/297721/how-to-create-and-use-symbolic-links-aka-symlinks-on-a-mac/.
2) Then, make Amule browse through that link
 ... et Voila.
