Post by: novkhan on September 25, 2005, 03:30:00 AM
Dear all

amule 1.2.6
OS Linux RH9

Is the latest amule faster?

I wish to install the latest version of amule.
But first i have to remove the old amule

I searched the page here isnt much info on uninstalling!

could anyone please guid me through this process.
My last installation with 1.2.6 amule was many years ago.
Took me two weeks of effort to get me install on "Linux RH9"

well, i played with the settings of amule previously and the downloading
seems to have gotten worse slow,.......

Or could someone guide me to set my amule1.2.6 back to the normal good setting. :baby:

Guess you are out of luck....You should upgrade to the latest version (2.0.3)

Cheers....

1.2.6 cannot connect to any of the current server anymore because of an old zlib bug, so I also strongly encourage you to update this old piece of software....

Hey, if you installed it from an RPM you should run a command like the following as root:

rpm -e amule

if you installed it from source, and still have the amule source code directory run a 'make uninstall' as root. otherwise just install a new version over the top of the existing.
