Title: Need an IP to bootstrap Kad
Post by: KyroMaster on October 19, 2005, 09:51:33 PM
The current aMule can´t use a proxy to fetch the nodes list, so I can´t get sources to bootstrap kad. And when I press "bootstrap from known clients" nothing happens (I´ve downloads with only 3 sources anyway so perhaps no known client has kad enabled).
Could somebody give me a working (referable static) IP to bootstrap from?

Well, for a long while the Kad GUI was present but non-functional.  It now seems to be functional, although I don't know if the functionality is complete.  So, your aMule CVS might be a bit dated, or the functionality doesn't work for downloading a nodes.dat.

In any case, you can just download it with your web browser, curl, wget, or whatever.  Then just stick the file in the ~/.aMule directory and start aMule.
